Our New Home

We went to the Oregon Coast with Carey last weekend. It was beautiful in Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock was so much more breathtaking than I had remembered. I will put up photos soon!

Since then it's been a busy week here in Seattle! The sun is shining and it's been really pretty. I caught a cold at the beach though so I've been sniffy and croaking all week. Work is starting to pick up and we're well on our way to the high season. I'm bringing Dan back to help me and have already off loaded all of my weekend hours to him.
Josh and I are housesitting Matthew and Tricia's big (and perfectly designed) townhouse on Capitol Hill. It's the posh life over here with three stories, four bathrooms and kitchen perfectly suited for cooking a gourmet meal. Josh and I are going to make homemade pizza tonight but that's about as gourmet as I think we'll get. They also have a big, flat screen TV and xbox 360. I'm getting pretty good at playing rock band and Josh has blisters on his fingers from playing fake guitar with me until 4 in the morning.
We found an apartment to live in - since the houseboat we wanted so badly fell through. (Negative thanks so the rich dude who doesn't want to give up the lease for his 4th of July party.) It's big and we are THRILLED. Two big bedrooms, living room with a chandelier (!!), big kitchen with a dishwasher - because there is a god-, backyard with BBQ and a small deck where we can eat breakfast on sunny mornings. Only a couple blocks from Broadway, we can walk to just about anywhere; the light rail (when it's finished), grocery, ect ect. It's got hardwood floors throughout which is a "must - have" for me. I don't want every other renter's germs stuck in my floor for all eternity. Lots of storage and good light and and and and....we move in May 20th. Hallelujah cried the preacher! It's gonna get a great summer!!
